The world is filled with things that can result in disappointment be it people or events (natural and artificial), plans change and things come up. Part of being human is being able to navigate our way through issues of disappointment and the pain they bring. Essentially, part of life is dealing with disappointment so we might as well learn how to behave, react or conduct ourselves in the face of disappointment and that’s what this week’s blog post is going to help us do. Many times in our lives and some more than others, we’ve seen people do things we can only dream of if we can even dare. They are so confident and seem bolder than Simba on top of Pride Rock, they look like giants trapped in human bodies. We may envy them, wanna be like them and covet their boldness to say and do as they please. If we are opportuned enough we may even pick their brain and ask the itching questions: “How do you do it?” “How do you live so boldly?” “How are you so confident?”
For today’s blog post we’ll be looking into how we can live bolder lives. Let’s gooo!
First of all I want to say congratulations on making it to the last day of the year, 365 baby! I hope to see you same time next year and in subsequent years.
Since New Year’s Eve is here, it is time for the infamous “New Year, new me” statement or should I say trend. Many of us try to do a 360 turn around in our lives in a short period of time and make a million and one changes and/or commitments only to give up on them after the holiday high is over i.e. give or take 2 weeks to a month if I’m being generous. In this blog post, we will be looking at how to get out of that trap this year and actually make your New Year resolutions stick around long enough to do their job. Let’s gooo!
As a fairly recent graduate from university, I have become disillusioned with the societal promise of "go to school, get good grades, get a degree and you will easily get a decent job after you graduate." It is not that this statement is wrong, at the time of our parents and their parents it was true but nowadays it has not been updated. These days, to have a fighting chance, you will need to equip yourself with some high income skills which can set you up for a better life. We will be looking into some of those skills today. Let's gooo!
'Tis the season to be merry, 'tis the season to be jolly, 'tis the season for gift giving. December is probably the most festive time of the year around the world, you have holidays like Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, etc. With holidays such as Christmas, gifts are involved, people buy a lot of stuff so shops and stores make a lot of money while keeping the people happy. The problem with gift giving though is that sometimes we don't know what exactly to get someone. What kind of gifts do you get someone who is into personal development? Someone trying to improve themselves be it on a specific or general level. Well, that's what we'll be getting into so let's gooo!
